It’s been a busy few months here at the Restaurant & Takeaway Innovation HQ, as we’re preparing to bring you the biggest and best expo to date! With a wealth of hard work comes great rewards - and we have so much exciting news about the show that we just couldn’t keep to ourselves! So, without further ado, here’s what we’ve been getting up to.

New Speakers


Our amazing speaker line-up in growing, and we can’t wait to hear what our industry professionals have to say; so we’re super excited to announce that Mark Jones, CEO of Carluccio’s, has been added to the list! He’ll be talking us through the journey that the brand has taken, from the lows of CVA in May 2018, to the highlights of the turnaround under “Project Fresca”. It’s going to be super insightful - so don’t miss it!

We’re also elated that Steve Phillips, Operations Director at Busaba Eathai, will be returning this year with another insightful talk! His seminar ‘Boring Basics = High Permormance” will outline not only how the ‘boring basics’ could be the key to creating high performing teams and outperforming the market, but also an overview of the systems, processes and attitudes the brand has adapted in their first full ‘turn around’ year!

Other News


As you may already know, we’re ecstatic to have partnered with Green Earth Appeal to make the Restaurant & Takeaway Expo completely carbon free! Through this partnership we’ve been planting fruit trees in developing countries on behalf of our exhibitors, to help diminish poverty in some of the world’s most deprived areas. With this being said - we’re eager to announce that an amazing 111 trees have been planted so far, and we can’t wait to watch that number grow! Everyone knows that free wifi is a must-have in the restaurant industry - but are you utilizing yours to its full capabilities?
