Hannah Osman is a behaviour change expert whose innovative approach and cross-sector engagement is driving UK recycling for one of our most challenging waste streams – disposable cups. Her ideas and ability to build successful partnerships have helped to position Valpak as a leader in environmental stewardship. She closely liaises with Defra and stakeholders within the paper cup industry such as manufacturers, retailers, collectors and recyclers. Hannah oversees the National Cup Recycling Scheme. Through the scheme, high street brands offer an incentive to collectors to include segregated cup collections. In 2023, Hannah also instigated and oversaw the launch of a new Valpak scheme which offers collections to smaller businesses who may otherwise struggle to recycle cups. Hannah collaborates with businesses across diverse sectors, tailoring cup recycling.
