Transforming Tap Water for the Table into Safe Drinking Water for Communities

Fortem International is proud to be supporting our charitable partner, Just a Drop!

Just a Drop is an international water charity that delivers safe water, hygiene, and sanitation to communities around the world. They have worked in 32 countries reaching over 1.9 million people and currently work in Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Nicaragua, India, and Cambodia. Safe water is just the first step that Just a Drop takes in supporting communities, with a range of follow-up programmes including menstrual hygiene education, drought-resistant crop farming, watershed redevelopment, and they even support community loans so that local people can set up small businesses. They are sustainability-minded and are currently working towards their target of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2040.

Just a Drop is currently promoting their ‘(Tap) Water for All’ initiative, whereby restaurants, hotels, and bars offer an optional donation of £1 to Just a Drop when customers order tap water, turning tap water for customers into safe water projects around the world. (Tap) Water for All is very flexible and recognises that not all venues serve tap water, with many of its current partners choosing to donate £1 to Just a Drop when bottled water, or any other single beverage, is sold. The initiative comes at a low cost to businesses and Just a Drop work hard to ensure that their work helps venues to reach their ESG targets.

The Just a Drop team are always on hand to deliver bespoke communications and assets for their partners, ensuring that they can really shout about the amazing work they are doing to support people around the world with access to safe water.
