Is CBD legal in the UK?

In one word yes! This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions about CBD oil. The law requires that CBD products should only contain 0.2% THC or less.

What is CBD?

CBD short for Cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the cannabis sativa plant. CBD is a naturally occurring substance that is used in products such as oils, gummies, drinks etc to impart a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Does CBD get you high?

The cannabis plant is made of 2 main players, CBD & THC. THC is the psychoactive component in the cannabis plant. CBD is the non-psychoactive portion of the plant, what that means is CBD does not make you high.

What are the health benefits of CBD?

The only CBD medication which is currently FDA-approved is Epidolex which the agency approved for certain types of epilepsy. However, many people swear by CBD claiming it helps for relaxation, stress, and pains hence why CBD is the buzzy wellness product of the moment. If you live in a place where CBD is legal, you might have experienced how CBD has gone from being around to being seen everywhere.

According to DR Junella Chin, DO, an osteopathic physician and a medical expert for cannabisMD "CBD tells your body to calm down and reminds you that you're safe, it mellows out the nervous system so you're not in 'flight or fight' response" she says, so many people with anxiety finds CBD helps them with anxiety and helps them feel relaxed.

Will it show up on your drug test?

CBD should not show up on your drug test as long as what you have consumed contains 0.1% or less THC.

What is the best form of CBD consumption?

This is down to personal preference and what works best for you. For many years the oil drops have been the only option available, but since CBD has become mainstream and is incredibly versatile and can be applied and enjoyed in a variety of ways.

When it comes to food and drink, CBD has become very popular. In fact, over 50% of UK consumers who expect to try CBD for the first time this year, want to do so through a drink. You either love or hate the taste of CBD. The benefit of having CBD in a drink (as an emulsion) is that there are tiny balls of CBD oil - called Liposomes - submersed in the drink, which makes it much easier to absorb, which in turn, makes means it gets to work faster than oils or edibles.
