Draft House Founder invests in My Million Pound Menu street food business

The Founder of Draft House, Charlie McVeigh, who sold the business to BrewDog last year, has agreed to invest £350,000 in restaurant concept BBQ Dreamz, as televised on BBC Two’s My Million Pound Menu.

Following the sale of Draft House to BrewDog for a reported £15m in March last year, McVeigh has decided to invest in the filipino inspired street food business BBQ Dreamz.

Having been impressed by the culinary delights served up by the owners Lee Johnson and Sinead Campbell, McVeigh decided to invest £350.000 in the business which will be used to launch a restaurant.

Who are BBQ Dreamz?

Inspired by Johnson’s Grandmother’s cooking, BBQ Dreamz began its journey as a food van, which traded at sites in King’s Cross and West India Quays. Recently ranked second in Time Out’s Top 50 Street Food Companies 2018 list, it’s safe to say the business continues to go from strength to strength.
